DJ Bio
As you all know, I obviously come across a lot of DJs, but I was really impressed with this guy. DJ Blast has been in the game for a solid 20 years which has allowed him the time to truly perfect his craft and create his own signiture style. That also means he has the ability to encompass a wide range of music into what he does, giving his work a timelessness that most DJs of this generation lack. In 2004, DJ Blast released a self produced album, Blas-tpheme, featuring hip hop artists from Canada as well as America. DJ blast also co-produced a track for "Thug Stories," Bone Thugs N Harmony's album released in 2006. In addition to all this, DJ Blast was also the regional winner of the DMCs (world's biggest DJ championship) THREE times! If that's not impressive then I don't know what is. With 20 years and countless accomplishments under his belt, DJ Blast does not look like he will be landing anytime soon. He is constantly releasing video mixes and hopes to release an instrumental album comprised of hop-hop, electronic, brazilian and latin rythms.Straight From The DJ
What is your ultimate goal with your music: to have a song, i know that might sound basic but teh same way you know afrika bambaata, 45 king, like a song that defines you like "yeah blast, that guy who put out THAT song"Who is your biggest influence: production-wise:primo, timbaland, marley marl, pete rock, swizz beats, kanye dj-wise: jazzy jeff, primo, x-ecutionners
If you could DJ ANYWHERE, where would it be: brazil, looks like it would be a riot!
